Roundup UK

HRO’C is working with the world’s best selling weed killer brand, Roundup, to develop and implement its interactive online consumer PR campaign. It is the first time Roundup Lawn and Garden has embarked on an online PR campaign. By using online community forum and media sites, the campaign is designed to refresh the Roundup brand in the mind of the consumer and communicate more effectively with both existing and potential customers.

Gary Philpotts, UK Business Director, said: “Consumers are choosing to view media in a variety of ways, not just TV, and online is very relevant to our category. So it is vital that companies continue to develop innovative and effective ways of communicating with customers.

We were keen to find an agency that would challenge us and encourage us to look at options that perhaps we had not fully considered. HRO’C impressed us with their ability to handle everything under one roof, from creation of a new website all the way through to targeting gardeners at home in a creative and relevant way via online PR.

We are really looking forward to working with them on what will be a first for the Roundup brand.”

Online PR

We all know the world is changing. But, sometimes, it can be difficult to change with it. And, when you’re feeling a little lost, the temptation is often to revert back to doing what you know best. Do the things you feel comfortable with. But, by failing to grasp change, you risk missing out on the many opportunities that it can bring.

We know your questions, we’ve heard them many times...

Social media
  • How can we make Facebook, Bebo, Twitter, Myspace and all the rest work for us?
  • How do we make it more than a ‘nice to have’ that gets played with, but never seems to deliver real commercial value?
  • How do we know who the influencers are, and who the detractors are?
  • Which blog can we ignore, and which one should make us sit up and take notice?
  • How do we take thousands of comments, posts and opinions and make them part of a manageable communications programme?
  • What are the triggers that will make us part of the conversation?
  • What measures tell us that it’s working?

It’s a rapidly changing world out there. And you need to change with it.
We can show you how.
